CARE OF CREATION TASK GROUP

Vision: Our vision is that each congregation in the Baltimore Presbytery will deepen its understanding of:

  • our spiritual connection to and love for all of God’s creation, including humans and the natural systems that sustain us;
  • the complex ways in which all of creation is increasingly interconnected and interdependent;
  • our responsibility as stewards to care lovingly and justly for all creation; and,
  • the urgent need for sustainable living.

Further, that these understandings should be reflected not only in each congregation’s worship and mission but also in the daily life of each individual.

Mission: Our mission is to reach out to all congregations in the Presbytery, to encourage and assist them to share this vision and to reflect it in their congregational and individual lives.   To do this we will provide resources and support for:

  • study and worship to change lives of people and congregations;
  • guidance for sustainable living; and
  • environmental stewardship action and social witness.
