Prayer Answered

When I think of what I will be thankful for on this Thanksgiving, it will be for the Presbytery of Baltimore.   How blessed I felt when I got the job offer of Coordinator of Resources.  God chose to smile on me that day and answered a prayer.

In my “Meet the Staff” meeting, we went around the table and all the current staff introduced themselves.  I found them to be friendly and welcoming. When it was Bill Millen’s turn, he looked at me and before he began he said, “I prayed for you to come.”  I was amazed and touched.  How awesome to greet someone in that way.  Not only had a prayer been answered for me, but for someone else who I didn’t even know. At that moment, I knew I was in the right place.  Each day working here has proven that fact.  The work environment I find is that of a team committed to the goal “Together Transforming Lives. Church. World.”

By working for the Presbytery of Baltimore,  not only will I be earning a living, but more importantly, in a small way I will be making a real difference in the lives of so many by doing work to advance the kingdom of God.   I am truly blessed.
