The Rev. Jane Johnson

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”

                                                                                             Hebrews 10:24

When my husband and I responded to the call to move from Queens, New York to the Baltimore area, I had no idea what God had in store for me.  In many ways my varied experience has prepared me for my position as Associate for Leadership Development, Education and Youth.  My experiences have taken me from rural Iowa, Illinois, and Pennsylvania to the inner-city neighborhoods of Pittsburgh and New York City.  I’ve had the pleasure of serving both multi-racial and homogeneous congregations.

I have experience in youth ministry, campus ministry, music ministry, served on a national board and worked with committees at the synod and presbytery level.  I have served as an organizing co-pastor of an inner city, multi-racial, non-traditional new church development and as an interim pastor of a traditional congregation consisting of Africans, African Americans, Jamaicans, Guyanese Indians and Africans.  I have been enriched by each opportunity.

I love the Church and count it an honor to serve Christ in this new capacity.  I see my position as one which strengthens and supports the work of congregations through providing resources, workshops, training and events which enhance your ability to reach those God has called you to reach corporately and in your individual spheres of influence.

Jesus Christ transforms lives and I am excited to work along side of you to be a visible and effectual witness to the world of the transforming power of God’s love.
