Benefit Concert

The Next Generation Project of the Presbytery of Baltimore has gone through a transition. To position ourselves for the best chance of success, the new overall goal is to continue ministry in Harford County and to expand ministry into the city and county of Baltimore.

The geography has expanded but the vision remains the same. The vision is to gather people ages 20-35, who are not currently attending any of the local churches, into a community seeking to follow Jesus Christ.  This community will have an ongoing outward focus, always looking to serve others and to share the message of the gospel—in both words and deeds.  The community will seek to shape itself around Scripture, impacting the local community, and living faith out holistically.

Next Generation is sponsoring a benefit concert on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at the Luigi Petti Restaurant (read more). This free admission “taste and see” event in the city is a non-threatening way to introduce this generation to this evangelism effort. Our goal is to have 100 in attendance. The Cobalt Season www.thecobaltseason.com  will be the opening act for the Christopher Williams Concert www.christopherw.com .  The Concert will benefit Habitat for Humanity in Baltimore and the Gulf. Check out the city paper ad at

We are asking for your prayers and encouragement. Would you please call and invite those you know to this event

Saranell and Tim Hartman are working hard to make this a meaningful occasion.  They have emphasized to me that this will be a great event.

Thanks

Bill Millen
