Gatherings

The Presbytery of Baltimore consists of 72 congregations and includes all teaching elder members plus ruling elders commissioners from each congregation's sessions.  The ruling and teaching elders from these congregations will normally gather five times annually.  We work to make Presbytery Gatherings so engaging and inspiring that teaching elders and ruling elder commissioners will look forward to participating in them with great hope, expectation and enthusiam.  Presbytery Gatherings will be opportunities to: 

• Build relationships with friends and colleagues, old and new;
• Learn together, encourage and challenge one another; 
• Enjoy spirit-filled worship, uplifting music and good food;
• engage in conversation about things that matter most; and,
• conduct the essential business of the Presbytery quickly and efficiently. 

Each year there will be three half-day Gatherings; as well as a saturday Gathering and a Presbytery Leader Conference -- to which leaders from congregations will be invited to join the commissioners in a time of leader development.  A fifth Gathering will be for Teaching Elders only.   The Gathering schedule for 2011-2012 is as follows:
