PASTORS’ GATHERING   March 1-2, 2012

Bon Secours Retreat Center, Marriotsville

Pastors! Let’s get together on March 1 & 2 at Bon Secours in Marriotsville. The first annual “Pastor’s Gathering” will feature the Reverend Dr. William Willimon. As well-known author, premier preacher, and innovative leader in the Church,            Dr. Willimon will be exploring with pastors the unique role of pastoral leadership.

  • What is the significance for a pastor’s leadership as the one who regularly speaks?
  • What is the impact of preaching the Word of God and how does that influence leadership?
  • What are the intersections and implications of preaching in vital congregations?

This exceptional opportunity to interact with William Willimon will be a hallmark of our time together. Additionally, as pastors in the Presbytery of Baltimore, we will celebrate our common calling and ministry. As a new tradition we will ritually and liturgically affirm the gift of our ordination as Teaching Elders.

Bon Secours has been recently renovated and features beautiful rooms, good food, and a variety of venues for spiritual practices. We are working hard to provide ample unstructured time for those who attend as well as time in the evening to share drink and snacks.

This experience will provide support for the Lenten journey, time away with colleagues and offer a deeper fellowship with colleagues than previously possible. Hold the date. Put in a reservation. This event is Continuing Education plus more. Let us know that you plan on being with us.  The cost is $150 for individuals staying overnight; $200 for couples who are commuting or staying overnight; and, $100 for commuters.  There is an additonal fee of $10 per person for those who wish to attend lunch on Saturday, after the event.
