Resource Center

Presbytery of Baltimore's Resource Center is a ministry of information, ideas, and hospitality; a witness to the commitment that developing Christian faith is a lifelong journey; a convenient place where Christian educators meet, learn, and share; a comfortable, quiet venue for individual study and research. 

SERVICES OF THE RESOURCE CENTER

  • locating desired materials
  • lending quality Materials and Equipment at no charge to Presbyterian church members, staff, educators, and ministers
  • compiling a databank of products and services that congregations may recommend to each other

MATERIALS
Over 5,000 items are available in the Resource Center in the following areas of interest: Education Resources for children, youth, and adults ~ Bible Study ~ Leadership Training ~ Mission Interpretation ~ Older Adult Ministry ~ Stewardship ~ Church School Curricula ~ Spirituality and Prayer ~ Social Justice and Peacemaking ~ Inclusivity and Diversity.  The various formats of these materials include ~ books ~ videos ~ CD's ~ DVD's ~ periodicals. 

EQUIPMENT
A variety of audiovisual equipment is also available for borrowing from the Resource Center:   slide projector ~ LCD projectors for VHS, DVD, computer ~ VHS/DVD combo players ~ DVD player ~ VHS player.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES FOR MATERIALS

  • Printed materials may be borrowed for 30 days or up to 6 weeks if arranged in advance.
  • Audiovisual materials (videos, CD's, DVD's, etc) may be borrowed for one week unless otherwise arranged.
  • Material resources may be checked out and returned in person. Resources may also be mailed out from the Presbytery and returned by mail by the borrower.

FOR EQUIPMENT

  • To ensure that audiovisual equipment is available, please contact the Resource Center in advance to reserve it.
  • Equipment may be borrowed for one week unless otherwise arranged.
  • An Equipment Rental Agreement must be signed for all equipment.
  • Please pick up and return equipment in person.

OVERDUE RESOURCES DAMAGED OR LOST MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT
The Resource Center seeks to practice good stewardship and offer the same benefits to all users. Therefore, please return all materials and equipment promptly. Reminder notices are sent when an item is overdue. If any materials or equipment are damaged or lost, please contact the Resource Center as soon as possible.

HOURS
The Resource Center is open Monday through Friday, 8:30am until 4:30pm.
