Growing Our Community of Faith

In the Loop Ministry Group finished off its year with their last meeting at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church. Over 30 people gathered together for worship, fellowship and business.  We also collected winter clothing for Madison's clothes closet.

2015 was an exciting year for our group, we hosted our first ever summit, focusing in on how to be the church in the city.  We invited the Rev. Dr. Byron Wade to join us in conversation that day as he shared the exciting and important work the urban churches are participating in down south.  We also provided full scholarships for seven people from five churches to participate and learn at Big Tent. We hosted a concert at Central Pres, bringing in a variety of musical acts.  And finally, we have worked to respond to the reality of racism, injustice, hurt and anger that was brought to the forefront of our attention earlier this year with a prayer vigil and in a myriad of ways our individual churches are being present to this truth. We look forward to sharing in ministry and working together in the upcoming new year!
