In our services of ordination and installation, the liturgy ends with the moderator extending his or her hand and saying, “Welcome to this ministry.” As Presbyterians we understand that our work – as Ministers of the Word and Sacrament, Elders, Deacons, Educators, Musicians, Church Administrators – is our response to God’s call. The Church needs many hands if it is to succeed in its mission to disciplize and announce liberation to the oppressed. hand

The links to the left not only list various opportunities available in our Presbytery but also provide a list of people who can lead worship when a church’s minister is away.  You will find through the Committee on Preparation the portal for those who feel called by God to become either Ministers of the Word and Sacrament or Commissioned Lay Pastors.  And The Committee on Ministry pages provide resources and support for sessions and ministers.
