DISASTER PREPAREDNESS & RELIEF

The newest branch of the Presbytery of Baltimore's mission was established in 2008 and funded by a partnership grant with New Castle Presbytery and National Capital Presbytery. DISASTER PREPAREDNESS and RELIEF (DPR) is guided by a committee of medical professionals, public policy experts and dedicated volunteers.  DPR defines its mission within a changing environment.  Teams of workers respond to medical crises like the recent H1N1 influenza outbreak; coordinate relief efforts like the rebuilding of the Gulf Coast duiring a tumultuous hurricane season; and, offer churches guidance in developing their own crisis preparedness plans.
